The organization was born out of the civil wars that engulfed the region in much of the 1990s. The passion was aroused by the need to help badly affected communities to recover from psycho-social and material war damages. First known as Community Fellowship Program (CFP), it focused on trauma healing counseling for returnees. In August 1994, the organization was officially registered as a not-for-profitable organization and underwent cerise of change of name and in 2018 the organization transformed into a foundation.
