Inclusive Food Systems and Nutrition Security, Infrastructure, Health System

Strengthening and WASH.

Duration Up to December 2021 with a possibility of extension depending on performance
Location: Based in Monrovia with regular field visits to project sites in the Southeast
1. Ensure that all vehicles and generators are in a technical working condition and clean

at all times.

2. Ensure the safe and technical sound use of all WHH vehicles and major equipment.

3. Ensure that a proper planning and administration of maintenance and repairs for all

vehicles and machines based on job cards.

4. Ensure WHH vehicle procedures are consistently adhered to including completion of

vehicle logbooks, etc. Ensure proper procurement and use of tools and equipment for

garages and field offices in all country office locations.

5. In coordination with the Head of Projects, prepare vehicle maintenance plans; ensure

vehicles and generators are serviced regularly.

Responsible to: Head of Logistics (Administrative & Technical)
Responsible for: Drivers, Mechanics, Logistic Assistant
The National Fleet manager will take the lead on all facets Welthungerhilfe’ s fleet

management including:

1. Maintain Welthungerhilfe’s compliance with vehicle policies and procedures.

2. Ensure drivers adherence to applicable traffic laws and regulations.

Duties and

Responsibilities:

3. Schedule routine maintenance and track vehicle usage.

4. Analyse and report to the Head of Logistics on the effective use of vehicles

5. Implement and enforce vehicle policy.

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics/Fleet Management, or similar

discipline

Education

1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position with a reputable INGO, UN

agency or the private sector

2. Proven experience in managing people.

Professional Experience

3. Clean driver’s license for car and truck (held for at least 5 years)

4. Proven experience in vehicle/transport management, managing at least 50 vehicles

Language Skills Excellent spoken and written English
1. Excellent understanding of fleet management concepts.

2. Excellent understanding of standard fleet safety procedures

3. Excellent driving experience (4×4, difficult roads, etc.) and vehicle rescue techniques.

4. Knowledge of basic management concepts (e.g. budgets, capacity building/training,

planning, etc.)

5. Ability to communicate in effectively in written and spoken English.

Personal Skills

6. Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Skype/Teams, etc.)

7. Capable of writing reports and manage (Excel) databases.

8. Ability to train others.

9. Ability to troubleshoot vehicles and Motorbikes.
