ACCOUNTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Accountant will oversee the finance function of the school which will include but not be limited to the management of cash flows, preparation of annual budgets, supply chain and cost accounting, bank reconciliations, financial controls, and data analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accountant shall work under the leadership of the Finance Director and will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial operations. The Accountant should have extensive experience of at least five years in a medium or small size company. Specifically, in financial and accounting management, including financial controls and audit, as well as reporting on accruals and internal controls.

The Accountant must be able to produce quarterly and monthly cash flow statements, budget execution reports, annual accounts statement and other financial reports as may be required by the Finance Director.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years’ related experience in accounting or finance.

Certification

• Certification in finance, accounting or auditing

General and Special Knowledge

• Knowledge of financial principles
• Supervisory skills
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills
• Presentation skills
• Advance knowledge in any accounting software, excel and QuickBooks
