Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant Associate with a strong accounting
background to join our team. The Accountant Associate will play an important role in maintaining
the financial integrity of Siefa’s clients by managing and supporting various areas of client account
ing, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial
reporting, and tax-related tasks.
The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple clients and
projects. They will bring strong analytical skills and excellent critical thinking abilities to every task —
identifying issues before they become problems, digging into the data to understand the full picture,
and solving complex problems with sound judgment. The Accountant Associate will take ownership
of their work, communicate effectively with clients and team members — both in writing and verbally
— suggest and implement process improvements, and bring a growth mindset to the role.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review clients’ balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial docu
ments.
• Perform weekly and monthly accounting tasks and assist with year-end close for tax returns.
• Prepare journal entries, including payroll, depreciation, and year-end journal entries.
• Post client transactions to QuickBooks Online on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable for clients.
• Assist with clients’ budget preparation and monthly budget updates.
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting entries.
• Assist with tax filings and preparation of supporting financial information.
• Review client financial records for accuracy and completeness, analyzing data to identify
discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate with clients regarding accounting records, financial information, and requested
documentation.
• Research, analyze, and resolve complex accounting issues across multiple clients.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
Experience
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience; over 5 years of accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong accounting background with a solid grasp of debits/credits, financial statements, and
general ledger operations.
• Ability to balance multiple clients and projects.
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with data, spotting trends, and drawing accurate
conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to explain financial information clearly to
clients and team members.
• Excellent critical thinking skills — able to evaluate information, question assumptions, and make
well-reasoned decisions.
• Ability to problem solve complex problems — takes initiative to research, analyze, and resolve
difficult accounting issues independently.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and Advanced formulas.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, and all lev
els of staff and management.

Work Schedule
Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM GMT
This position follows North American Pacific Time business hours to support clients across the United
States and Canada.
