Policy Advisor: The Policy Advisor will conduct and manage policy analyses in the forest and land sectors and will provide policy and technical guidance to the COP and to other technical staff. This long-term position is based in Monrovia, Liberia.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and provide technical and managerial oversight over Liberia CWA’s strategy for policy analysis and advocacy;
* Collaborate with members of the Liberia CWA project team to identify policy challenges in the forest and land sectors;
* Design and implement policy analyses, toolkits, guides and other resources
* Contribute written input to program planning and reports;
* Coordinate with cross-cutting services – Communications, Institutional Strengthening and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team to develop and implement policy advocacy tools that are relevant across project activities;
* Coordinate with government and civil society institutions and provide thought leadership on policy matters in the forest and land sectors.
Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion Advisor: The Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Advisor will be responsible for leading the implementation and monitoring the integration of women, youth and vulnerable populations into Liberia CWA activities. This long-term position is based in Monrovia, Liberia.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and provide technical and managerial oversight over Liberia CWA’s GYSI strategy;
* Collaborate with members of the Liberia CWA project team to integrate GYSI considerations into technical work planning, activities, reports, workshops, and leadership;
* Design and implement gender and youth analyses, toolkits, guides and other resources
* Contribute written input to program planning and reports;
* Coordinate with cross-cutting services – Communications, Institutional Strengthening and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team to develop and implement GYSI-responsive interventions across project activities;
* Build capacity among staff, partners and other stakeholders around GYSI.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical area;
* At least five (5) years of experience related the technical area, preferably in Liberian context;
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including government officials, project staff and/or donor agencies to advocate for GYSI;
* USAID experience preferred;
* Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
