| MISSION/CORE PURPOSE | |
| To support data-driven decision-making within Lonestar Cell MTN Fintech (Mobile Money) business by collecting, analysing, and transforming data into actionable insights, dashboards, and reports that enhance business performance, customer experience, and revenue growth. | |
| CORE RESPONSIBILITIES | |
| Key Performance Areas: Data Analysis & Reporting · Extract, clean, and analyse data from multiple systems (e.g., Mobile Money platforms, financial systems). Provide Mobile Financial Services (MFS) daily, weekly and monthly analytic, predictive and suggestive performance reports for internal performance meeting, EXCO & Group reports as per guidelines and Templates. · Perform segmentations for MFS & GSM Convergent campaigns (GSM subs), MFS users, Agents, airtime resellers, all MFS business partners · Perform date mining & provide relevant MFS data & statistical analysis and insight to facilitate business decision making · Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for Fintech performance tracking. · Provide insights on revenue trends, transaction volumes and customer behaviour Business Intelligence Development · Design and automate BI reports using tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar systems. · Support development of data marts and data warehouse solutions for reporting needs. · Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
Performance Monitoring · Track KPIs for Mobile Money (e.g., active users, transaction value, agent performance). · Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to management. · Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities within the fintech ecosystem. Stakeholder Engagement · Work closely with Commercial, Finance, Risk, and IT teams to understand data needs. · Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions. · Present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. | QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE | |
| Educational · Bachelor’s degree in data science, Mathematic, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics Finance or related field · 2–4 years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting · Experience in telecoms, banking, or fintech is an advantage Experience · Data analysis and interpretation · SQL/ Database management · Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) · Financial and transactional data analysis · Data visualization and storytelling
