Position: No. of Vacancies: One (1)
Job Title : Area Manager
Tenure : 1 year (Renewable based on Project need and budget)
Salary : Negotiable
Entry on Duty : February 2020
Reports to : Programme Manager, MF
Duty Station : Area Offices in the Field
Key responsibilities:
1. Safeguarding: a) Read, understand, practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy
among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of
action; b) Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place,
encourage others to do so.
2. Analyse the branch performance and portfolio quality; keep track on achievement of annual target
and achievement of the area/region and guide and supervisoe the BM and COs, to ensure quality of
members and the disbursement target.
3. Set annual target plan of the program and provide proper work guidelines; prepare quarterly and
yearly target plans; and follow up on the BM’s daily activities both in the field and office and verify
member admission, loan scheme and necessary paper documents as per requirement.
4. Physically visit all loan applicants at the field level and approve loans accordingly and follow up on at
least one group meeting while he/she visits the branch office.
5. During field visits, check collection sheets, DCRs, cashbooks, payments of the day, cash withdrawals
from the bank, cash deposits at the bank, cash transfers to area offices, etc.
6. Disburse loans at the branch along with BM, CO and BAO and facilitate audit, monitoring, review and
liaison with the local government and other organizations in there.
7. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and update the respective supervisors.
Skills:
 Good Management, operational, communication and analytical skills
 Good Computer Skills in MS Word, Excel, Internet, QuickBooks a plus
 Have clear concept on Micro Finance components
 Good relationship with Micro Finance and community stakeholders.

Education and experience:
 Masters in Finance/Accounting
 At least 5 years of work experience as a Manager, operating microfinance.
