We are currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Bio-Medical Engineer to work in our facility.
Job Title: Assistant Bio-Medical Engineer
Reporting to: Bio-Medical Engineer
Direct Reports: N/A
Job Purpose:
To support patient care by installing, testing, calibrating and repairing medical equipment, training
users and maintaining safe operations of machines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the maintenance of all Jahmale’s clinical and medical equipment
• Provide onsite response to any and all fault requests
• Provide direction and leadership to the facility’s maintenance crew
• Liaise with manufacturers to ensure the efficient functioning of the equipment
• Work closely with other clinical and medical professionals, such as doctors and therapists as
well as with end-users
• With Bio-medical Engineer, discuss problems and find solutions with manufacturer
• Meet with Management to exchange ideas on best practices that will enhance the facility’s
growth
• Handle technical queries as necessary and give advice on new equipment
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain all clinical and medical equipment
• Train technical or clinical staff on proper care of the equipment
• Implement, control and investigate safety-related incidents
• Keep up to date with new developments in the field, locally, regionally and internationally.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum – BSc in Bio- Medical Engineering Science, Advanced Mathematics and Physics,
Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Supportive and caring disposition
• Good observation and attention to detail skills
• Self-motivated and ability to perform at a high level of accuracy under pressure
• Confidence in using leading edge technologies
• Ability to multi-task effectively and work in a team
• IT skills
• 5+ years working experience
