POSITION TITLE: ASSISTANT INVENTORY MANAGER

Brief Description

Inventory Manager keeps track of information in order to keep businesses and supply chains on schedule. They ensure proper scheduling, recordkeeping, and inventory control.

Tasks

  • Responsible for storage of both food & beverage and operational stock.
  • Responsible for day-to day check on the storage facilities for upkeep and hygiene
  • Follow standards for issuing and receiving stock within the stores
  • Work closely with the General Manager, Accountant and Vendors to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained at all times and to make new orders
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with vendors
  • Continuously search for new vendors with lower prices for items used to operate the business
  • Coordinate with the Accountant with proposals and day-to-day feedback on operational control
  • Be able to team player and work closely with kitchen staff as well as provide them with stock as necessary
  • Maintain inventory records and compile reports on various aspects of changes in production or inventory
  • Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to another location
  • Find, sort, or move goods between different parts of the business

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree in Business Management with emphasis in Accounting
  • Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions;
  • Should have previously worked in the Catering/Hotel / F&B sector.
  • Should ideally have some experience in stock taking or knowledge in
    food & beverage.
  • Should have a good ability to co-operate, be service-minded and be
    willing to resume responsibility.
  • Should have very good organizational skills
  • Should have a good knowledge of spoken and written English besides
    the knowledge of Arabic
  • Must be a computer literate (MS-Office)
