Job Title: Assistant Senior Programs Manager
Location: Monrovia
Reporting to: Senior Programs Manager
Duration: TBD
Position Summary:
The Assistant Senior Programs Manager reports to the Senior Programs Manager and
will work closely with all sector managers as needed. The ideal candidate should have
worked for an NGO in the programs department (e.g. design, management,
monitoring) and has concrete experience with monitoring and evaluation, and
tracking systems and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.
• Provide regular technical and administrative support to program
development and implementation across all programmatic sectors at SP
Liberia (SPL);
• Support the development, design, and writing of proposals and concept notes
for related programming information management and reporting;
• Provide oversight and responsibility in finance, procurement and monitoring &
evaluation processes of all SPL programs;
• Support Sector Managers in budget management, report writing, data
collection, impact stories and all communications;
• Liaise with Government of Liberia counterparts and partners including
National NGO forums and Technical Working Groups;
• Conduct field visits to monitor the quality of program activities;
• Provide technical leadership and support to project and partner staff in
planning and implementing activities, data-based program decision-making,
and results reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
• Masters or Bachelor degree in development-related field, social sciences,
and/or other relevant fields with at least five years of relevant professional
work experience
• Analytical and strategic thinking / results orientation.
• Knowledge management and leadership.
• Experience designing, planning and implementing programs, managing data,
reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both
orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish effective working relations in a multicultural team
environment.
• Excellent supervisory, team-building and interpersonal skills
• Compliance with SPL mission and below core values and competencies.
