Join Medica Liberia to Help End Violence against Women and Girls
Who We Are:
medica Liberia (mL), formerly medica mondiale Liberia, is a non-governmental women’s rights organization working to support women and girls affected by sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). Since 2006, Medica Liberia has implemented impactful programs in Liberia’s southeastern regions, recently expanding to Montserrado and Margibi counties with support from the German Government and other donors.
Project Background:
The ‘Strengthening Action Response and Services for SGBV in South-eastern Liberia, (STARS 4 SGBV) project is a three years project funded the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ireland through Irish Aid Liberia. The project focuses on scaling up prevention, response, and support services for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Grand Gedeh, Sinoe, and River Gee counties. The initiative aims to transform harmful gender norms, prevent violence against women and girls, and strengthen essential services for survivors.

Position Title: Behavior Change Communication Officer

Job Summary:
The BCC Officer will play a critical role in implementing strategies to promote awareness and prevention of SGBV within target communities. This position requires leading community-based approaches to mobilize stakeholders, develop effective communication materials and strategies, and foster measurable social norms and behavior change among the program’s target groups.
