Talwa HR Solutions (THRS) is recruiting on behalf of one of its Clients who operates in the Fin Tech industry in Liberia. Our client offers broad range of electronic financial solutions including international remittance, amongst others.

Our client business is rapidly growing in Liberia and is currently expanding in counties including Bong, Nimba, Montserrado, etc. Our Client is seeking qualified individuals to submit application for the following position:

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for the Company’s commercial growth. The BDM manages a sales team and is responsible for developing and applying an effective sales strategy for all areas within the Company’s footprint.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop a sales strategy, make sales projections, and forecast revenue in line with projected sales and growth targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product and marketing strategies.
  2. Business Portfolio Management: Effectively manage the company’s current portfolio of business and deepen existing relationships to generate more revenue. Grow revenue lines and oversee the management of the Company’s credit portfolio.
  3. Team Management: Define responsibilities and deliverables for team and drive performance. Effectively manage the development of direct reports, linking performance

management, learning & development, and talent management to achieve optimum performance. Recruit and manage a team of contractors to support sales plans.

  1. Networking: Continuously develop a strong network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects.
  2. New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and analysis and focus sales efforts.
  3. New Revenue Streams: Identify and pursue new revenue streams for the Company.
  4. Marketing: Serve as a key member of the marketing council to provide strategic input for marketing deliverables including promotions, campaigns, and activations.
  5. Event Management: Plan and execute events on behalf of the company including new product/service launches, partnership activities, and the Company’s branded events.
  6. Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budget, particularly the sales and marketing budget ensuring maximum efficiency and returns.
  7. Participate as a key member of the management team in all areas of operations, helping to create value by developing the appropriate environment for all consumer sales decisions.
  8. Stay abreast of developments in areas of expertise and perform to the highest ethical and professional standards.
  9. Ensure compliance with Company policies, Central Bank of Liberia regulations and Financial Intelligence Agency Guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENT / SPECIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, or finance (masters’ degree is an added advantage)

5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related field Strong knowledge of financial markets, products, and services

Effective team player and able to work independently.

Proven track record of achieving revenue growth targets and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Good written and oral communication skills

Must be confident, well-spoken, and possess the knowledge and ability to independently prepare management and board reports.

Must be willing to travel to various counties across the Company’s footprint.
