Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (2 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Under the supervision of the Carpentry Team Lead, the candidate would be performing carpentry work on all United States Embassy Monrovia, Liberia owned and, or leased building, residences, and offices. The candidate would receive daily assignment form the Team Lead in the form of Work Orders (WO), or oral instructions and performs carpentry work: repairs, alterations, construction installations. Jobholder operates carpentry machinery and performs tasks in the carpentry shop, offices and residential buildings. Ensures that all necessary tolls equipment and materials are available to complete tasks. Maintains workshop in a clean and neat manner and observes all safety rules and assists others in this direction. Reports and recommends the necessary repair and maintenance, costs and times needed to accomplish work.
Two (2) years experience as a carpenter is required.
Level III (Good Working Knowledge) writing/reading/speaking of English is required. This will be tested.
