Primary Job purpose
The primary job responsibility is to establish and implement internal controls, finance policies and procedures, administrative and IT systems to ensure that the organization’s day-to-day operational activities are efficient and effective and are in line with approved strategic initiatives and budgetary allocation.
Key Accountabilities
▪ Uphold the values and principles of the organization.
▪ Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards. ▪ Monitor the collection and recording of accounts payables and receivables. ▪ Provide timely, accurate, and precise reports to the MD/CEO.
▪ Liaise with all departments as required to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial agreements are met.
▪ Prepare and present financial reports on an agreed basis for the Management Team, Board of Directors, and other relevant stakeholders.
▪ Recommend broad policy initiatives in privacy, data security, compensation grids, and salary scales to consider the Management Team and Board of Directors. ▪ Oversee as the Human Resources and Administration unit of the organization thus ensures that the organization’s practices are in line with legislation.
▪ Ensure the efficient and effective management of all financial functions of the organization.
▪ Ensure that the organization meets all required government standards and remits applicable taxes in the country (examples include Tax, Income Taxes, etc.)
▪ Develop the annual budget concerning the requirements of the finance administration.
▪ Monitor the cash position of the organization.
▪ Manage and oversee monthly bank and petty cash reconciliations performed by the Finance Team.
▪ Monitor the effective purchasing, payment of invoices, and expense reporting in the organization.
▪ Responsible for the proper development, administration, and evaluation of information systems that connect staff within and across teams (e.g., phone, software, etc.)
▪ Maintain contact with professional and industry associations and government bodies to keep informed on issues, emerging best practices, and systems. ▪ Conduct Performance Appraisals of staff in your team.

▪ Identify training needs of staff and communicate to HR Rep. /MD. ▪ Initiate the formulation and development of personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and practices for planning, organizing, and controlling the company’s personnel and executive programs.
▪ Generate management reports to facilitate decision-making.
