JOB PURPOSE
To Manage, institute, maintain, and monitor OLIB Health and Safety system based upon Orange security guidelines and other related matters. To provide advice and support to the CEO and management in relation to the deployment of orange security protocols. May also deal with or support investigations and disputes and operates under moderate supervision, with regular review of completed assignments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Protection of Lives/personnel & Security of Physical asset
- Ensure that the safety/security processes of the entity are adequate in order to respect laws and regulations and to mitigate risks of non-compliance
- Provide counsel and guidance on all Security matters to management and provide simple, clear and concise advice for operational decisions relating to safety:
- Assist members of staff with adequate knowledge on security protocols and how Health & safety policies impact their functional areas.
- Conducting training and awareness on security related issues, including: fire drill, Occupational health & safety matters (identification, security doors, CCTV, log books etc), fire alarm to staff and to related partners of the Company
- Conduct investigation on all health & safety related breaches and support the conduct of investigation relating to allegations of corruption/fraud/unethical conduct as and when required.
Security Protocol
- Coordinates and oversees the operations of all security personnel deployed in every Orange premises & sites and prepares Reports to internal and external parties as required
- Facilitate the implementation of every Orange recommended security protocol at every Orange premises &Sites
- Manage all security protocols relating to the arrival, hospitality and departure of Orange Group Visitors
- Oversee and supervise security personnel and all security protocols at the homes of Orange Executives.
- Prepare and disseminates relevant security information to management, staff and 3rd
- Establish operational and strategic dashboards linked to health & safety
- Ensure reporting to the EHS committee and the Groups (Orange &Sonatel)
Environmental Health & Safety
- To support the execution of the company’s EHS program
- Formulate and amend policies and processes related to the effective management of an effective health and safety system based on Orange Group guidelines, Orange EIA license and MIGA requirements
- Plan, Budget and execute Health & safety activities annually
- Identify Health & safety risks and ensure closure of mitigation actions and the establishment of Health & safety controls
People Management:
- Provide coaching and request needed training for direct reports and 3rd party security vendors ensuring continuous individual development.
- Ensure a healthy working environment for the unit’s employees through focusing on team building and motivation initiatives.
- Conduct regular performance and competency evaluations for direct reports while delivering constant constructive feedback for higher achievements and further development.
- Follow up on team members’ attendance, time sheets and leaves.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate shall be a professional, highly-analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in risk management, fraud and security investigation and telecommunication’s principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or its equivalent, policing business management, or a related field
- 3 – 5 years’ proven experience in a senior security role
- Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures and connection within the security sector
- Brilliant oral and written communication skills
- Highly – analytical with strong attention to detail and investigative skills
- Report directly to the to the Secretary of the Secretariat/Chief Compliance Officer
