Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

Within the framework of the plant’s objectives. The Civil Engineer will ensure the quality of all construction projects and adherence to design criteria, ensure the practical application of the construction projects; provide technical guidance to customers and the marketing division to enhance the Company’s professional image. He/she will manage and motivate his/her team, ensure coordination and cooperation between his/her team and other departments.

Performance criteria

• Ensures the quality of the construction projects
• Carries out construction works satisfactorily and within the set timeframe
• Takes appropriate action when critical situations occur
• Guarantees the safety of personnel and the equipment
• Optimizes construction costs and manages his/her budget
• Promotes the quality of the work and motivates his/her personnel
• Develops their skills by internal and external training to keep abreast of technical developments

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the execution of maintenance work
• Develops working methods in his field: defines procedures and ensures that they are implemented
• Ensure proper scheduling, planning of works and resources and execution
• Contributes to/participates in the 3-year investment plan
• Continuously updates personnel skills, develop and implement a training plan and individual coaching plan
• Assists in defining the budget of the department and negotiates with the Manager
• Facilitates communications and relationships :
• Conducts department meetings regularly
• Conveys management policies to the subordinates
• Communicates results to the top management
• Informed of general plant practices so as to ensure “on-call” duty
• Adheres to safe working conditions and safety rules

REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION

Educational background

Prospective or recent graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Technical skills

Good knowledge of cement products and production processes; knowledge of practical civil construction technology; strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills; knowledge of safety laws and regulations; experience in the development of quality management methods, for example ISO 9000 and TPM, desirable; some experience.

Personal skills
