Summary of Position:
The Clinical Sites Coordinator (CSC) will monitor and coordinate clinical research sites to ensure that quality clinical research is attained in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP). Regularly update the office of the Deputy Director for Clinical Operations on challenges faced by sites and provide strategic leadership for resolution. Summarize and submit monthly reports, provide M&E support to other teams on nonclinical activities and support the facility team on the management of the internal operational tracker the provides updates on issues emanating from clinical research sites. The CSC may also support the laboratory team and Leidos on the shipment of research samples if necessary. Must be willing to perform additional duties to support the clinical research activities when needed.
Description of Responsibilities:
 Support the Deputy Director for Clinical Operations to provide strategic leadership, identify, and manage challenges to enhance clinical research activities at all sites.
 Summarize and submit monthly sites reports and provide timely feedback to enhance performance and quality of care.
 Coordinate and collaborate with site managers to ensure that staff are trained on approved study protocols and guidelines in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
 Coordinate and collaborate with site managers for the monthly site presentation on queries generated and rectified internally to improve quality clinical research.
 Support other teams to develop M&E instruments to ensure that nonclinical aspects of research activities are monitored or evaluated if necessary.
 Collate any site limitations and follow up with the facility team and procurement departments to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
 Attend stakeholder coordination meetings including Ministry of Health, National Public Institute, County Health Team, and other collaborating partners if necessary.
 Attend regular clinical care network meetings and follow up on require actions.
 Support the laboratory or in country Leidos team on the movement or shipping of research samples if it is required.
 Perform other duties as maybe assigned by immediate supervisor.
