Akesis seeks a Central Medical Store MIS Manager who will be responsible for management of the CMS
information technology systems.
Duties
• Optimize mSupply or its replacement as the Warehouse Management Information System (WMIS)
• Support the implementation of GS1 standards for reporting on all commodities in CMS custody
• Provide system application and troubleshooting/problem solving
• Define requirements for mSupply implementation at 13 County Depots and 36 Hospitals throughout
Liberia
• Conduct warehouse management information training nationwide
• Develop SOPs for use of the system at all levels
• Procure equipment to support the WMIS at CMS and in remote depots and hospitals
• Produce monthly reports including stock status reports and health commodity status update
(electronic & hardcopy)
• Coordinate data exchange from the WMIS to the Liberian LMIS
• Provide troubleshooting support to warehouse internet and office automation systems
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree preferably with well-rounded major such as computer science, information
technology or management information systems or related field
• Experience with mSupply strongly preferred
• Familiarity with GS1 standards
• 5-7 years of advanced Universe and Microsoft SQL Server development experience, with a strong
background with Avante, Epicor Manfact, or similar ERP system
• 5+ years of experience writing, queries, reports, and screens
• 2+ years of experience providing desktop and application support, Cisco or CCA certification, or
equivalent experience
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference and probability and
demonstrated ability to achieve individual and team goals.
• Ability to effectively communicate warehousing information systems requirements as part of a
broad-based training initiative.
