POSITION : Coding School Supervisor – Orange Digital Center (ODC)

REPORTING TO : Executive Director

DEPARTMENT : Orange Foundation

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Ensure the evolution of the Innovation Program related to the activity within the Orange Digital Center’s coding school.
  • Ensure optimal quality of the technological solutions resulting from the coding school: support and development of innovative projects.
  • Provide training and Insights to young people (at the coding school and/or in universities) on the latest technological trends in terms of development and coding.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Select and evaluate learners to be recruited at the coding school for different wave.
  • Contribute to the conception of project management methodology adapted for the coding school.
  • Support and supervise students or graduates on internships at the coding school in the development of their technical solutions.
  • Provide training, coach and reinforce the knowledge of learners
  • Supervise, lead and plan the work of a team while ensuring the development of the team’s skills.
  • Supervise the IT projects developed at the Coding School in synergy with the other Orange Digital Center programs: the Fab Lab Solidarity and Orange Fab.
  • Support on the technological choices of projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of all stakeholders (internal and external) for each of the projects.
  • Participate in the technical implementation of Orange Digital Center at the level of the Orange group subsidiary.
  • Ensure the updating and maintenance of old projects.
  • Ensure technological watch
  • Manage and coordinate the development and execution of budgets and the Management Business Plan based on the roadmap.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and optimization of management processes
  • Set up, monitor and communicate on performance indicators, sizing and quality linked to its scope.
  • Manage all the activities of the Coding School: validation of concepts and realization of training, Talks, projects, internships, partnerships, hackathon
  • Design and development of programs within the coding school and other components of the Orange Digital Center program: Fab lab Solidarity and Orange Fab.
  • Participate in the roadmap of activities offered at the Coding School and be a force for proposals.
  • Guarantee the permanent development of the skills of its team and the adequacy of resources in order to meet the objectives of the entity.
  • Guarantee the respect of the application of the processes linked to the activity and participate in their development and improvement.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the field of web development, mobile development or other. (Experience in the telecommunications sector or an IT service company is desirable)

    • Knowledge of frontend programming frameworks (Angular, Bootstrap)
    • SOA, EDA, micro services and design patterns
    • JavaScript , Agular 2+ , HTML5, CSS3
    • Bonus point js
    • Java/Kotlin : Android
    • Objective-C / Swift : iOS
    • Mastering REST /SOAP APIs
    • Knowledge of graphic tools
    • Knowledge of Material Design and user interface, experience (UI/UX)
    • Good understanding of the Android ecosystem and design patterns (MVP, MVVM,…)
  • Good experience in working in Agile and DevOps is a plus
  • ITIL foundation knowledge (certificate is a plus).
