Duties and Responsibilities: | Under the direct supervision of the Learning and Communications Manager, the Communications and Learning Assistant will:- Collaborate with result area staff to develop content for CWSA’s social media
platforms, particularly the Facebook Page and the monthly newsletters. - Visit field activities and support the writing of success stories, news articles, press releases, learning briefs, and other valuable insights.
- Work closely with project staff to identify activities that require communications support or documentation of key learnings.
- Assist in the development of fact sheets and primers on specific topics across CWSA’s
four result areas. - Support the training of CWSA staff and partners on the project’s branding compliance, communication, and learning guidelines, ensuring that they align with the approved Communications Strategy and Learning Agenda.
- Actively plan and provide support to journalists during their coverage function at CWSA activities or events.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining consistent documentation of all CWSA communications and learning outputs.
- Contribute to the design and branding of field-level visibility materials (e.g., banners, brochures, flyers, t-shirts, caps), ensuring compliance with CWSA’s approved branding and visibility guidelines.
- Other duties as may be required by the line manager.

Education: | Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, English, Sociology, Humanities, or related fields |
Professional Experience: | - Should be passionate about humanitarian and development work
- Should be prepared to travel in remote areas with minimum facilities
- Ability to work with modern office equipment such as a photocopier, Scanner, Printer, DSLR Camera.
- Average photography skills, video recording/shooting, and basic editing skills
- Should be a regular and professional user of social media (Facebook) for international NGO
