The Construction Specialist will lead Welthungerhilfe’s infrastructure team in planning project infrastructure activities, set up construction sites, control the site works, timely Objective of the

mobilize required resources (Labour, materials, equipment/machinery etc) on sites before, Position:

The Construction Specialist will have the listed below specific responsibilities:

1. Plan all infrastructure and construction activities of the project in a manner that avoids duplication and wastage of resources,

2. Plan all construction logistics and procurements in advance in collaboration with the HSS project team in a manner that ensures continuous, uninterrupted supply of

construction resources.

Education A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
1. At least 7 years of professional experience in infrastructure development with illustrated progressively responsible functions,

2. Experience in the construction of infrastructure works for social facilities (schools

and health) as well as feeder roads will be an advantage

Experience

3. Proven technical expertise in design and construction (including developing and reviewing bills of quantities, assessing local markets, cost estimations, etc.)

Language Skills Excellent command of spoken and written English

 

1. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially: Word, Excel, Power Point, and

internet applications

Computer Skills

2. Proficient in use of design software such as AUTOCAD and Revit

1. Ability to pay attention to details.

2. Able to take initiative and act proactively.

Personal Skills

3. Proven analytical skills

4. Flexible and able to work in difficult environment.
