Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

    • Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties

Working within the consular section of the embassy, incumbent is primarily responsible for processing non-immigrant visas, but also assists with immigrant visa processing and services for U.S. citizen (e.g., passports and emergency assistance); is the back-up consular cashier; and performs other administrative tasks. Duties require attention to detail. Incumbent will be trained in the application of U.S. laws and guidelines related to visa issuance and U.S. citizenship. H/She is supervised by the consular officer.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite in at least ONE of the following fields: work related to the processing of civil documents (example: birth, marriage certificates); or, work with vulnerable groups (example: domestic violence, child abuse victims); or, work in the legal profession or work related to legal proceedings; or, work related to the issuance of travel documents (example: passports or visas); or, work with crisis preparedness/response; or, direct/indirect work with an embassy, ministry, NGO or international company in an administrative capacity; or, work in travel/hospitality industry is required.

Education Requirements:
Two years of University studies is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English level IV (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. This will be tested.

Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Monrovia, Liberia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
