MISSION/CORE PURPOSE
To drive Visibility, Availability, Accessibility and Acquisition within a specified location
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work along-side Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) Supervisors to supervise & coordinate the activities of Direct Sales Distributor, Ambassadors & Data clerk a within the assigned territory
• Achieve distribution and coverage targets within assigned location
• Achieve Sim Cards/device/Mobile Money/ Event Activations target within assigned location
• Achieve New Connection target within assigned location
• Develop alternative channels in the location: Hotels, Restaurants & Entertainment Centers (HORECA), Phone Shops, Fast-Moving Consumable Goods (FMCG) Channels
• Achieve products and brand visibility target within assigned location
• Embark on trade education (promotions, new products, price changes, etc.)
• Build quality relationship with trade through constant trade visit. (Lonestar Area Champion (LAC), sub-Distributors, Retailers, etc.)
• Embark on regular DSD/Ambassador accompaniment & score Availability Visibility, Accessibility Movement (AVAM) and price compliance templates
• Prepare and submit weekly report on Sales performance, Price Compliance, Market intelligence/Competitor activities, Coverage gap analysis
• Ensure Policies, Processes Procedures (PPPs) are strictly adhered to
Supervisory /Managerial/ Leadership Complexity:
• Encourage feedback from subscribers, agents etc. within assigned location and provide solutions or escalate and ensure resolution
• Ensure strict adherence to the standard operating procedures of direct sales and distribution at all times
• Set goals and objectives and monitor progress and maintain motivation
Role Complexity
• It is very important for the person in this role to have a fair understanding of the objectives and nature of the operations in the various technical and commercial functions in order to be able to effectively provide reliable operational advice and guidance
Creativities (improvement/innovation inherent):
• Proactively propose business solutions for the resolution of potential operational risk
• Propose ways and means to improve customer satisfaction and increase net promoter score
• Be innovative with regards to the implementation of Policies, Processes & Procedures
• Make suggestions to enhance and define the processes for further improvement of services
• Suggest on areas for continuous improvement of all our operations.
Independent thought and Judgment:
• Use of independent thought and judgement in strict alignment with standard operating procedures
• Independent thought and judgement is based on experience
• Changes in processes with regards to the implementation of the standard operating procedures.
• Use of best practices to ensure compliance to CBL Regulations and MTN standard operating procedures, etc
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
• Minimum of 3 years’ tertiary degree in Sales and Marketing from a reputable institution or equivalent
• Relevant Certificates/accreditation/membership with professional bodies, is an added advantage.
Experience
• Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience, with proven track record, as a sales/distribution officer in a business environment
• Minimum of three (3) years’ demonstrated experience in creating proactive strategies
