MISSION/CORE PURPOSE:

To build and sustain the Mobile Money distribution network and channels and to execute all initiatives leading to the end goal.

  • Responsible for MoMo agent and super-agent acquisitions and management.
  • Identify business opportunities and ensure leads are followed through to deliver sales targets.
  • To help implement and drive the Distribution strategy for Financial Services.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key Performance Areas:
  • Deliver business goals set by EXCO and in accordance with overall OpCo strategy.
  • Ensure development of Financial Services in general and Mobile Money follows strategic growth plan, with the provision of a clear direction and structure.
  • Expand and manage the distribution and merchant network.
  • Put on the market products and services of the highest quality, as soon as possible.
  • Manage the marketing team towards customer usage and awareness goals, while providing guidance and support as per the business strategy.
  • Look for new acquisition opportunities of business users.
  • Develop financial and Mobile Money ecosystem through agent networking.

 

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work with Regional Mangers to execute “Mobile Money” distribution roadmap in respective regions.
  • Responsible to build manage and train the Distribution Channel – Agents and Super agents and make ensure that all relevant infrastructures within the Distribution space is well prepared.
  • Responsible to work with Sales and Distribution and Cross Functional Stakeholders in Customer Service, Finance and Brand Communications on key processes impacting Mobile Money services.
  • Identify and execute key partnerships around “FMCG Distribution Houses” for developing and supporting Float distribution and promote Cashless Solutions.
  • Responsible for engaging and building relationship with agents and super agents to as a means of engagement and to promote retention.
  • Work with Reginal Sales Managers to review and monitor Channel Reps and Territorial Sales Controllers targets versus achievement.
  • Work with Sales & Distribution to drive overall Mobile Money Availability and New Customers Acquisitions.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field / master advantageous
  • Fluent in English and official language of country preferable
  • Proof of continuing education through courses, personal development and seminars desirable

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (03) years’ Distribution experience (with a proven track record and attention to detail) in relevant industries
  • Minimum of three (03) years’ experience managing a distribution-oriented team towards success in relevant industries
  • Demonstrated commitment to getting the job done.
  • Strong operational experience in field visit to manage the day-to-day growth of the network.
  • Strong experience in expanding and managing the distribution of a mass market product or service.
  • Demonstrated experience in building a distribution network from the start and managing its expansion.
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous.
  • Strong experience in customer data is big plus.
