Job Description: Country Director/Executive Director

Reports to: Board of Directors

Full time position: ½ time in Monrovia, ½ time in Kolahun

Qualifications

• Prior INGO experience (program management/supervisory role)

• Basic accounting skills including the ability to execute scrupulous financial oversight

• Excellent English

• Ability to write reports

• Previous data management (data collection and monitoring of program data)

• Ability to supervise program managers effectively and respectfully

• Basic computer literacy, especially in Word and Excel

Responsible for

• The achievements/challenges of each aspect of the program
• Providing solutions for challenges and setbacks

• RHL’s budget for all program activities, including administrative costs

• Prioritizing spending across programs
• Achievement of program objectives
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders in Monrovia and Kolahun
• Identifying potential sources of funding in Liberia, whether from government, national organizations or INGOs, and developing and fostering relationships with potential collaborators
• RHL inventory
• Finalizing all policies and procedures and ensuring they are communicated with staff and executed, including Child Protection Policies
• Conducting Performance reviews of all staff

• Communicate with staff daily/weekly while in Monrovia
• Follow Liberian law without exception
• Honest and respectful communication with all
• Ability to envision programmatic developments and initiate local collaboration
• Follow and execute policies and protocols
• Consult board regularly on staff performance and programmatic developments

Length of Contract: 1 year with option to renew
