POSITION : Data Analyst
REPORTING TO : Performance & Reporting Manager
DEPARTMENT : Indirect Distribution
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary responsible for Cleaning and preparing data, Analyzing and exploring data, Expertise in statistics, Analyzing and visualizing data, Reports and dashboards, Communication and writing, Expertise in the domain, and Solution-oriented. Use the skills in statistics, computer science, and business to help the company to make better decisions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
• Developing and maintaining databases, and data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format.
• Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
• Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct problems.
• Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction.
• Assigning numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
• Analyzing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry
• Preparing reports and send to the Management, Sales Team & Distribution Network performance, stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
• Send Alarm to the Management, Sales Team & Distribution Network about the low-performance areas.
• Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
• Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.
• Development of forecast and Assumptions.
• Analysis of Orange Money Activities.
• Creation and implementation of indicators performance and decision-making tools.
• Develop and maintain management monitoring report automation projects,
• Evaluation of sales performance and preparation of reports (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)
• Ensure statistical studies on the activity, in order to facilitate decision-making, to detect opportunities and shortcomings, and identify trends.
• Support managers in economic management and implement the actions necessary to achieve the objectives set,
• Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of new customers,
• Development and planning of the strategic plan.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
o Bachelor’s Degree in science, mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with Certification in programming languages such as Python, etc.,
o Certification in Data Analytics and Data visualization tool.
Experience:
o Minimum Two (2) years of working experience as data analyst/business analyst.
o Strong knowledge and technical proficiency regarding database design development in data models,
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize, and analyze data.
Knowledge of SQL and experience with Databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server).
Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, and Python
Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (Javascript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases
Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing
Strong Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Super Set, etc
Strong Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions
Knowledge of Telecom business
Accuracy and attention to detail
Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations (MS Office)
Communication skills with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.
Sense of Responsibility, Organization, Intermediate Involvement
Ability to find Solutions: be result-oriented, rigor
Ability to work in a Team and collaborate
Adept at using data processing platforms like Hadoop and Apache Spark
