Management and oversight of ancillary staff (~25 people) in the everyday operation of a free medical center serving children and pregnant women
Direct oversight and management of procurement specialist, cleaning and grounds team, maintenance personnel, security team, drivers, and cafeteria staff
General management of the operating activities of Sanctuary Care and oversight of the physical plant
Manage the medical center’s hours of operation and associated “open” and “close” protocols
Work with clinical leadership to design a patient flow plan in ambulatory and inpatient settings
Ensure that Sanctuary Care’s physical plant is always clean and in good working order
Oversee all capital projects (ie, Oversee projects ).
Develop a security protocol that prioritizes patient and staff safety
Design processes to safeguard pharmaceuticals and supplies
Human Resources and employee management functions
Develop a process for hiring and onboarding all Sanctuary Care staff
Develop a fixed schedule for each employee (with input from clinical leadership for clinical personnel) and monitor daily attendance.
Develop “clock in” and “clock out” protocols
Work with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payroll
Manage disciplinary issues and report all significant disciplinary issues to the Board of Directors
Manage procurement and tracking of all supplies and inventory
Track all SKUs of supplies
Medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, lab supplies, linens, cleaning supplies, cafeteria supplies, etc.
Develop a procurement system to ensure an appropriate level of supplies and medications to meet clinical needs
Determine what can be procured through aid programs (e.g., AmeriCares) and what needs to be purchased
Create an internal “purchase order” process to submit requests to the finance team to fund purchases (even procurement of donated supplies needs to be recorded so we can track usage)
Create and maintain an accurate inventory of all Sanctuary Care property and equipment (beds, microscopes, computers, etc.)
Compliance and Community Relations
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
Maintain full records of all licenses and accreditations for both the facility and clinical staff
Collaborate with clinical leadership to establish and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare organizations, and government agencies
