Talwa HR Solutions (THRS) is recruiting on behalf of one of its Clients who operates in the Fin-Tech industry in Liberia. Our client offers a broad range of electronic financial solutions including international remittance, amongst others.

Our client business is rapidly growing in Liberia and is currently expanding in counties including Bong, Nimba, Montserrado, etc. Our Client is seeking qualified individuals to submit application for the following position:

JOB SUMMARY

The Distribution Channel Manager (DCM) position will play a pivotal role in driving and managing the Company’s growth through the expansion of its agents’ network across the country. The DCM manages the company’s agent network and is responsible for the availability of the Company’s services across its footprint.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an effective distribution strategy that ensures the availability of trained agents and the provision of all company products and services.
  2. Distribution Network Management: Build a strong distribution network by leveraging partnerships and through agent on boarding &management. Provide adequate support to agents ensuring appropriate branding, capacity building, and training on new and existing products and services, and resolution of conflict.
  3. Team Management: Define responsibilities and deliverables for your team and drive performance. Effectively manage the development of your team, linking performance management, learning & development, and talent management to achieve optimum performance. Recruit and manage a team of contractors to support distribution plans.
  4. Agent performance monitoring: Monitor the performance of agents comparing transactions target against actual and identifying areas for improvement by providing coaching and support as needed.
  5. Branding and Merchandising: Ensure strong brand presence across the company’s footprint and adequate supply and management of company merchandise.
  6. Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budget, including budget for the distribution network, including expenses related to agent recruitment, training, and support, ensuring maximum efficiency and returns.
  7. Cash Management: Ensure the adequate and timely flow of electronic cash to agents and the retriever of physical cash through proper planning and coordination with the finance team.
  8. Market Analysis: Proactively and continuously assess the market and competitive landscape to ensure that the Company is best positioned to win. Identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the market, and adjust distribution strategies accordingly.
  9. Revenue Generation: Drive revenue generation for select revenue lines.
  10. Marketing: Serve as a member of the marketing council to provide strategic input for marketing deliverables including promotions, campaigns, and activations.
  11. Participate as a key member of the management team in all areas of operations, helping to create value by developing the appropriate environment for all consumer sales decisions.
  12. Stay abreast of developments in areas of expertise and perform to the highest ethical and professional standards.
  13. Ensure compliance with Company policies, Central Bank of Liberia regulations and Financial Intelligence Agency Guidelines

JOB REQUIREMENT / SPECIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration (Masters’ degree is an added advantage)

Over five years of relevant sales experience in managing agent network and three (3) years in a management role.

Effective team player and ability to manage a team.

Good written and oral communication skills

Must be confident, well-spoken, and possess the knowledge and ability to independently prepare management and board reports.

Must be willing to travel to various counties across the Company’s footprint. Computer Literate
