Location: Bong County or Montserrado County, Liberia

Employment Type: Fixed-Term Project Position
Project Duration: July 2026 – September 2026 (with possibility of extension subject to project continuation and funding availability)

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Restore Hope Liberia is implementing the FHI 360 EpiC Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Continuity of Care Project as a Civil Society Organization (CSO) subawardee under the USAID/PEPFAR-supported EpiC platform.
The project seeks to strengthen continuity of care across the maternal, newborn and child health continuum through improved pregnancy identification, referral completion, antenatal care continuity, facility delivery support, postpartum follow-up, newborn follow-up, PMTCT/EID continuity, immunization follow-up, maternal wellbeing support, and strengthened community-facility linkages.
POSITION SUMMARY
The District M&E Assistant will support monitoring, verification, data quality assurance, documentation review, referral verification, facility validation, and routine field monitoring activities within assigned districts.
The position will work closely with Field Coordinators, Maternal Wellbeing & Continuity Facilitators, facility focal persons, CHAs, TTMs, and community structures to ensure accurate reporting, high-quality documentation, and reliable implementation data.
The District M&E Assistant will serve as a key link between field implementation and project monitoring systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring and Field Verification
- Conduct routine monitoring visits to assigned facilities and communities.
• Verify implementation of project activities.
• Support verification of referral completion and continuity interventions.
• Monitor compliance with approved implementation plans.
• Assist in validating reported project results.
- Facility Validation and Mapping Support
- Participate in facility validation exercises.
• Verify facility information and focal persons.
• Support referral pathway mapping and updates.
• Assist in maintaining facility databases and implementation records.
- Data Quality Assurance
- Support routine data quality assessments.
• Review field records for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify data inconsistencies and reporting gaps.
• Support implementation of corrective actions.
- Documentation Review and Verification
- Review attendance sheets, activity reports, and supporting documentation.
• Verify documentation submitted by field teams.
• Support evidence collection and archiving.
• Assist with maintaining project documentation systems.
- Referral and Continuity Monitoring
- Support tracking of ANC referrals and follow-up activities.
• Assist in monitoring postpartum, newborn, immunization, and PMTCT/EID follow-up.
• Conduct referral verification activities.
• Support continuity-of-care monitoring systems.
- Reporting Support
- Prepare monitoring summaries and field verification reports.
• Support compilation of district-level monitoring information.
• Assist with routine project reporting requirements.
• Contribute to lessons learned and implementation reviews.
- Learning and Quality Improvement
- Document field observations and implementation challenges.
• Support identification of best practices and lessons learned.
• Participate in review meetings and quality improvement activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Community Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting monitoring, evaluation, data collection, public health, or community development programs.
• Experience conducting field visits and monitoring activities.
• Strong data collection and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic data management tools.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively within assigned districts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting donor-funded projects.
• Experience working with Ministry of Health structures, health facilities, CHAs, TTMs, or community-based programs.
• Experience conducting data quality assessments or verification exercises.
• Familiarity with MNCH, community health, referral systems, or health systems strengthening initiatives.
