JOB TITLE: Driver

JOB LOCATION: Liberia, Monrovia

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

FHI 360 is seeking applications for the position of Driver for the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project in Liberia. EpiC is a seven-year global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The project will provide technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case- finding, prevention, treatment programming and viral load (VL) suppression among keyand vulnerable populations in three counties of Liberia

JOB SUMMARY:

The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services ensuring high accuracy of work. The Driver demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. The Driver provides driving services to the EpiC Liberia project staff, Consultants, HQ staffon TDY in country, or any other authorized persons.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate assigned vehicle for project implementation in accordance with FHI 360 policies and the national driving rules and regulations.
• Facilitate airport pickups and drop offs of expat and visiting staff.
• Maintain vehicle logbook and promptly update the book with accurate travel information and routine refuel of the vehicle.
• Promptly liaise with supervisor for major and minor vehicle repairs and maintenance. • Track routine fuel consumption and submit accurate fuel consumption reports for Tom card replenishment.
• Ensure the assigned vehicle has all required and updated documents (vehicle registrations, insurance, logbook) and supplies (first aid kits, tools, etc).
• Ensures that all immediate actions required by policies are taken in the event of an accident.
• Deliver and collect project documents and other items as may be required. • Provide input to the preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans.

• Demonstrates excellent knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair;

JOB DESCRIPTION

Education:

• Basic Education Certificate with pass in English.
• At least five years of experience working in or with the NGO sector in the mentioned position.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s license
