Location: CHI Head Office, Marshall Road

CHI is dedicated to ensuring improvement in maternal and child health. Our program focuses on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of health care services. Our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs are geared toward improving the health and well-being of mothers and children through various interventions such as prenatal care, postnatal care, immunizations, and nutrition programs. These programs play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to mothers and children, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes in Liberia.

 

We are seeking a driver with mechanical knowledge for our head office in Liberia.

 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a driver who has some mechanical skills. This position requires a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair, coupled with excellent driving skills and a commitment to safety and traffic regulations. The candidate will be responsible for transporting personnel and equipment to various counties while also providing basic mechanical support for the vehicle.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate and maintain a variety of vehicles
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly fueled, cleaned, and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate driving and fuel logs and records.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical issues, including brake problems, electrical issues, and engine problems.
  • Assist with vehicle repairs and maintenance as directed by the Maintenance/Logistics Officer.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school graduate with a valid driver’s license and driving certificate.
  • Experience driving various types of vehicles.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot small mechanical problems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety, regulations, and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The candidate should have previous experience working in a non-profit or humanitarian organization.
  • The candidate should have certification in automotive repair.
  • Only Liberian citizens are eligible for this position.
