Job Title: ECHO Project Coordinator (x1)

Location: Grand Bassa County

Reporting To: Programme Director

Responsible For: County Health Officers

Duration: 12months

Job Purpose: Project Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of ECHO project activities and provide strong management of the project team operating in 4 Counties in close collaboration and coordination with the IRC Programme Coordinator.

Responsibilities: You will provide technical support to implementing partners, national government and county level government in the design and implementation of COVID-19 vaccination communication plans at scale aiming at: behaviour development/change at both social norms and individual/household levels to increase demand and uptake of COVID-19 vaccination services; Social mobilization of civil society organizations, key stakeholders and health workers around COVID-19 vaccination issues; and increased community participation in support of and uptake of vaccinations in partnership with IRC.

You will provide oversight and monitoring of national COVID-19 vaccination activities in line with the LBR Covid-19 NDVP Final Feb-7-2021. Both logistically by ensuring you are personally involved in the arrival, tracking, distribution, and coordination meetings. But also technically by advocating on the basis of the barrier analysis findings about how to support the COVID-19 vaccine roll out, including frequent visits to support this role out to county level. Disseminate barrier analysis findings; ensure exchanges of experience, good practices, and new methods to government officials, and other vaccine implementing partners.

You will develop training materials and activities in collaboration with IRC, and MoH approved to build capacity in participatory & social and behaviour change communication in support of the COVID-19 vaccination programme roll out. Maintain high level of exchange of experience and information sharing among National Government, County Health Teams and COVID-19 vaccination implementation partners.

Advise MoH and COVID-19 vaccination roll out partners on the development of effective partnerships with key social and communication networks including religious groups, traditional leaders, local media, artists, and other organized groups in the community, as well as local civil society

organizations, to orient them on the COVID-19 vaccination programme goals, how to overcome barriers to uptake, and to solicit their involvement in the implementation of the national and county level COVID-19 vaccination programme as proposed in the ECHO approved application;

Experience & Qualification:

Advanced university degree in the social/behavioural sciences, (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Health Education) with emphasis on participatory communication, communication planning, social mobilization, participatory research, training and impact evaluation of communication interventions

At least 5 years of relevant health, nurse management, ideally vaccination programme management experience Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience of having worked with County Health systems

Experience of / understanding of the logistical requirements of a complex health or ideally vaccination programme.
