JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Ejo II Project Intern will support the implementation of the Ejo II program in Liberia, which includes planning and implementation of field activities, partner relations and management, program monitoring and reporting, and program administrative tasks. The intern will gain hands-on experience in project and partnership management while supporting key initiatives that enhance the employees’ experience at Mercy Corps.
This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in Project management within an international non-profit organization
INTERN’S RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assist in program planning and implementation
2.Support in strengthening and managing partnerships by working with CBOs and CSOs to implement the Ejo II program.
3. Aid in community engagement and advocacy for the implementation and adoption of sports for change within the educational sector.
4. Support monitoring, evaluation, and report, through supervision of sessions implementations by teachers and animators and distribution and collection of data collection forms.
5. Assist in program administrative tasks, which include initiating requisition, preparing payment requests, preparing activities reports,and responding to CBOs inquiries amongst others.
6. Support the capacity building of Partner CBOs to ensure the sustainability of program outcomes.
7. Serve as a model for female teachers and animators in the implementation of program activities and championing gender efforts in ensuring that equality is addressed.
8 . Be adaptable and flexible to take on new tasks and assignments, and willing to learn new things.
Qualifications:
•A recent college graduate from an accredited and reputable university
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•A demonstrated ability to multitask and process information into action in a timely manner
•A strong interest in project management and sports for change.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
•A proactive and flexible attitude with a willingness to do field work, learn and take initiative.
•Ability to use the following Microsoft Productivity tools: Excel and Word
•Fluency in English Language.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
•The intern will be expected to work 40 hours a week
•The intern will be paid a monthly allowance of 200 USD
