Via River Mining Company (VRMC) is a Turkish Liberian Corporation established under the laws of Liberia to carry out Gold Mining activities in Lofa County, as authorized by the Government of Liberia, under License issued by the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
VRMC is recruiting for the following positions for which detail job specifications are attached for candidates’ perusal:
Electrical Technician – Jo Profile
Location: Field Locations, Lofa County, Republic of Liberia
Reports To: Mechanical Engineer

- Job Summary:
Via River Mining Company (VRMC) Incorporated, a private business corporation established under the laws of Liberia to acquire applicable license and undertake gold mining & related activities in Lofa County as authorized by the Government of Liberia. This role provides electrical technician services to VRMC mining operations.
- Summary of Job Description
Electrical technician installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots high-and-low voltage electrical systems, machinery and automated controls to keep mining operations safe continuously.
Specific duties include:
- Installation & Upgrades – Install and commission power distribution systems, control panels, motors, pumps, crushers, conveyors, mills and lighting.
- Fault Finding & Troubleshooting – Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing tools (multi meters, meggars clamps meters) to fix breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance – Execute schedule inspections, routine servicing, and testing on switch gear, circuit breakers, transformers, and emergency backup generators.
- Health Safety & Environment Compliance – Enforce and promote a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to HSE regulations and best practices.
- Reading Electrical Diagram and Related Technical Documents: Interpret single-line diagrams, electrical blueprints schematics and wiring manuals.
- Qualifications & Essential Requirements
- Relevant technical diploma in Residential and General Electricity from a recognized technical vocational institution.
- Minimum five years of verifiable industrial or construction electrical experience.
- Experience with generators, distribution panels, motors, pumps, earthing, cables and fault diagnosis.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation and lockout procedures.

| § Signed application letter stating the exact position applied for. § Current CV with complete employment history, list of excavator brands models operating weights and projects previously worked on, names and contacts of last two previous employers. § For Mechanical technicians: CV must contain details of HDPE butt fusion, electrofusion, steel pipe welding, pump, valve and flange installation experience. § Copy of Liberia citizen validation document (passport or national ID card) § Copies of degrees, diplomas, trade certificates, operator certificates and training records. |
