POSITION : Employee Experience Officer

REPORTING TO : Director of Human Resource and Administration

DEPARTMENT : Human Resource

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of the role is to be a strategic partner to both the business and HR in order to attract, retain and develop high-caliber people in the organization creating innovative people strategies that align to our business strategy. Holistically the role is responsible for the end-to-end employee journey and will involve a mix of HR skills.

The Employee Experience Officer, as an HR team member, should have passion for People on cases that directly impact staff’s engagement, satisfaction, and performance. This will involve collaborating on challenging initiatives, increasing staff understanding of Orange Liberia operations from diverse perspectives, and developing new skills and experiences.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The incumbent will champion the Company’s culture, always mindful of how practices and programs can continue to strengthen, honor and reward our core values.

More specifically the role will include:

  • To drive the development and solutions of employees’ experience
  • Identify areas for improvement in employee experience, take best practices and align across the company’s portfolio
  • Implement an Employee Experience programme with innovative engagement for all service areas to increase employees’ participation and satisfaction.
  • Engage with the L&D team to ensure the program provides the desired employees’ benefits
  • Drive a strategic and proactive approach to ensure people and culture are at the start of business discussions and aligns to the annual business plans across all departments.
  • Work closely with all key stakeholders to understand what and how digital initiatives can enhance employee experience and implement to align Workplace Experience with a wider strategy.
  • Create and distribute employee feedback surveys, compiling results and present recommendations for solutions and improvement
  • Coordinate with Internal Communications teams to execute effective employee listening campaigns to ensure solutions are grounded by employees’ voices and that complaints, questions, concerns and suggestions are addressed.
  • Design and shape employee experience strategy Programs to include, but aren’t limited to Wellbeing, Anniversary and Recognition programs, Annual Holiday Programing, Employee Engagement and Pulse Surveys
  • Create ways to amplify Orange Core Values and build employee connections; keeping employees informed, engaged, and inspired and ensuring employees feel heard, valued, respected and their work is impactful
  • Apply innovative, employee-centric approaches with the intent to set the standard in the industry and making Orange Liberia the Employer of choice.
  • Responsible for the ongoing growth and refinement of Onboarding and Training Center, induction and onboarding.
  • Conducting face-to-face stay and exit interviews with employees who are in critical roles and or high potential incumbents.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Degree in related a discipline to include Human Resources, Communication, Organizational Development or equivalent years of professional training coupled with 4-6 years of delivering relevant experiences
  • Knowledge of equity, diversity and inclusion resources and good practices

Experience:

  • Previous experience building and executing HR strategies relating to engagement and employee satisfaction.
  • Previous experience in designing and implementing employee experience drivers and methodologies, with proven success in improving employee retention.
  • Proven ability to plan and implement change effectively.
  • Proven track record of achieving deadlines and working effectively within a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience of turning insight into action to increase customer satisfaction and organizational performance and track record of leading the delivery of measurable improvements in performance and quality.
  • Experience using multiple feedback channels (qualitative and quantitative) to find opportunities, identify gaps, design solutions, and drive improvements
  • Experience leading programs and projects in employee experience, employee engagement, employee survey design, employee journey management, organizational development, human resources, design thinking, etc.
  • Experience in delivering people strategies and implementing action plans

  • Must be able to prioritize and work simultaneously on several projects
  • Attention to detail to ensure high quality and accuracy to work performed is a must
