A Voluntary National Sexual and Reproductive Health not-for-profit and equal opportunity organisation is seeking a qualified person for the position of an Executive Director.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
a. Job purpose:
The Executive Director will provide strategic, technical and leadership support to ensure that the Organisation’s programs are aligned with international and national development agenda, including the achievement of universal access to SRHR in Liberia. He/she will be charged with ensuring results based management, capacity development and provide leadership and representation as well and resource mobilization, partnership building and repositioning the Association .
b. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership; ensure the board has clear, concise and timely information on management operations for decision making
Ensure that organizational mission and strategic objectives are met by ensuring delivery on the Strategic Plan, Annual Programme Budget (APB) and other donor requirements
Building and maintaining technical and strategic partnerships with government and development partners.
Oversee monitoring and evaluation strategy of the organization.
Undertake resource mobilization to finance Organisation’s programmes and activities
Ensure timely submission of reports to donors.
Ensure effective and efficient management of the organization; oversee the preparation of audit and other periodic reports, and management of financial and internal controls of the Organisation
Ensure effective and harmonious communication with staff.
Liaison between Organisation and its donors
c. Key skills and competencies
Post graduate degree in management or business administration, Masters in Public Health, Sociology, Demography, Development Studies
Extensive work experience in organization/project management, including the management of complex health programs and grants
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in management of a country-wide organization, preferably an NGO for a period of at least 10-12 years.
Strong human resource management capacity and experience
An excellent understanding of government and donor systems and processes
Ability to interact across various audiences and stakeholders e.g. volunteers, staff as well as external partners.
Experience working in the field of SRH/HIV or other health related field is desirable
Sound proposal writing skills
