Background and Purpose of the Assignment

The job purpose of the position is to perform monitoring activities within a specific coverage area and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance packages. Selected candidates will report directly to Head of RAM Unit with below mentioned key responsibilities.

What will you do in this position?

  • Monitor the implementation of various assistance activities in close collaboration with partners and the community.
  • Enter all monitoring data collected (General Distribution /School Feeding/Asset Creation and Livelihood, Nutrition activity questionnaires) in the MODA platform using tablets.
  • Document good operational practices and any concerns regarding gender and environmental implications observed on the ground.
  • Arrange for regular meetings with community leaders and cooperating partners on commodity pipeline, distribution arrangements, food entitlements and other relevant issues to support effective communication flow and efficient operations.
  • Liaise with cooperating partners and internal counterparts to gather feedback and comments to support programme reviews and improve services.
  • Provide standard trainings for cooperating partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods in order to support them to independently self-monitor and to contribute to the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas.
  • Contribute to missions, market assessments, donor’s missions, rapid need assessments, Food security assessment and nutrition surveys.
  • Report monthly on concerns and comments from beneficiaries and cooperating partners to support identifying programmatic issues.
  • Suggest improvements to field monitoring processes and procedures for efficient implementation of the assistance programmes.
  • Follow set emergency response processes and procedures for emergency food assistance.
  • Follow up closely with the feedback received through hotline under CFM platform
  • Coordinate with beneficiaries, CP, and other relevant stakeholders to get the response against complain received under CFM platform.
  • Coordinate with program activity manager to get their response on the CFM and initiate the process to close it in line with SOP.
  • Perform any other monitoring tasks as needed.

Education:

  • Completion of secondary school education.

Experience & Knowledge:

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience collecting programme output and outcome data, conducting process monitoring including quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting.
    • General knowledge of WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards.

Language: Fluency (level C) in English language.
