Type of Contract: Full-time

Background:

Our client The Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC) is Liberia’s oldest and most representative institution advocating the business interest of a very diverse private sector, representing over 150 companies and business associations. The Chamber of Commerce has been an influential force for businesses in the Republic of Liberia since 1951, created by an Act of Legislation. The LCC is also the representative of Employers under the tripartite arrangement with the Government of Liberia.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Finance

  • Lead in the process of entering all financial transactions into LCC QuickBooks financial system, ensuring that transactions are entered in a timely manner; manage records, file invoices, receipts, delivery orders and contracts (both electronic filling and hard copies of documents)
  • Prepare documents for payments, payroll, budgets and monthly (events) financial reports.

  • Assist with audit-related preparation as required by the LCC Auditor
  • Maintain office petty cash

Administrative:

  • Procure office supplies while ensuring that procurement is done as per international best practices and standards
  • Conduct office inventory of assets and equipment and regularly update the records
  • Assist the SG in the Chamber’s staff recruitment process by preparing interview documents and compilation of results
  • Ensure that all HR and administrative documents are properly filed and archived.
  • Participate in other administrative and logistical related work
  • Perform any other related tasks as required by your supervisor

Requirement:

  • University Degree in Finance , Business Administration
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Administrative services Finance, Accounting, Audit, Human Resources, and Economics.
  • A professional qualification would be an added advantage
