Concern Worldwide is an Irish based non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization, dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. Concern is currently recruiting six interns for the below positions:

Job Title: Finance Intern (x1)

Location: Monrovia, Montserrado County

Duration: Six Months

Main duties & responsibilities:

Assisting the Finance Officer in the monthly accounting through preparation of the reconciliation statement, counter checking vouchers against the cashbook; Filing of finance documentation according to the filing system and retrieval when need be; Assist in maintenance and updating of finance trackers; Assist the Finance Manager with conducting review and spot-checks of finance vouchers; Assist in ensuring adequate documentation available for mobile money payments; Assist with ensuring statutory remittances are receipted and updated; Participate in regular project management meetings; Receive specific training on area relevant to the role

Experience & Qualification:

∙ Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any other relevant degree

∙ Strong interest in use of innovative technology and tools for development cooperation programmes and systems

∙ Strong interest in working in rural areas and sensitivity to the needs of the extreme poor

∙ Willingness to learn and a respectful attitude

∙ Commitment to Concern’s work

∙ Voluntary work undertaken in the past
