Title: Finance Manager

Location: Monrovia (with field visits when necessary)

Report to: Executive Director

Duration: 1 Year

JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Manager will analyze every day financial activities and provide advice and guidance management on grants, financial compliance and future financial plans. Typical duties will include reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, and preparing financial forecasts.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
  • Manage HOPE’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory and grant requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus
  • 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with partners and funders Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as Access, QuickBooks etc. Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven experience in managing the finances of donor-funded projects highly desirable; Additional relevant responsibilities and tasks as they arise.
