Overview
Common Sense Solutions, Inc. is recruiting a Finance Manager for a fast-growing multinational
SME lending fintech company in Liberia. The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the
finance, accounting, and administrative functions. The Finance Manger will work in conjunction
with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure the flawless execution and financial success of the
fintech’s unique business and operating model.
Responsibilities:
Management of all company financial records and statements
Budgeting – prepare budgets and ensure expenditure in line with budget
Cash flow management – forecast cashflows needs and ensure sufficient cash availability at
all times
Tax & compliance – ensure compliance all regulatory bodies including the Liberia Revenue
Authority and Central Bank
Asset management – ensure all company assets are accounted for at all times and used
judiciously
Loan book management – ensure maintenance of a healthy loan book and ensure nonperforming loans are minimized
Operational expense management and approvals
Capital expenditure management
Formulate financial policies for the company and ensure procedures are followed
Payroll and Human Resource Management
Manage relationships between company and external parties (government, regulators,
suppliers, partners, etc)
Company reputational management – oversee relationship between officers and customers,
ensuring professionalism at all times
Key Competencies:
Strong analytical background, with exceptional competence in financial modelling tools such
as excel
Deep knowledge of accounting
Highly organized self-starter with grit, determination and passion for hard work
Fast and willing learner who is adaptable to a unique SME lending model
Strong people management capabilities
Capacity and stamina for continuous days of long hours of both general management and
occasional field work
Resilient and remains calm and deliberate under conditions of stress
Well-networked in the financial sector in Liberia
Qualifications:
Degree or Post Graduate Qualification in Accounting or Finance
At least 3 years of work experience in the Accounting and/or Finance industry
Must have completed, or be in final years of completing, your Certified Public Accounting
(CPA) designation
