UFDUM is a registered Liberian non-governmental organization established since 2014 with headquarters in Monrovia and operative in Lofa, Nimba, Grand Cape Mount and Bong Counties. Position Summary: The FINANCE OFFICER reports to the Executive Director and will be responsible to implement UFDUM’s financial plans and policies, and supporting the project teams to develop their activities budgets. Position Title:
FINANCE OFFICER (1 person needed)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
▪ Make sure that all financial transactions are carried out and recorded in accordance with standard financial procedures.
▪ Regularly review the float, loan and salary advance registers.
▪ Carry out a cash count every two weeks.
▪ Monitor cash flow and request top-ups from relevant authorities.
▪ Prepare the monthly payroll and bank reconciliation
▪ Check the month end cashbooks, and ensure that all bookkeeping and coding is accurate.
▪ Ensure that all financial records are properly kept.
▪ Prepare an analysis of the cashbooks,
management report, comparison with budget, and commentary at the end of the month.
▪ Ensure that accounts are received in head office within the second week of each month.
▪ Oversee the preparation and review of organization’s budgets.
▪ Monitor actual expenditure versus budgets.
▪ Prepare of financial reports to donors, in liaison with Country Director
▪ Continue to develop appropriate financial policies and systems and help all staff to understand, adhere and work with them.
▪ Provide support to the office in all procurement and financial matters
including response to internal and external auditors
Basic Requirements
• Have a Minimum of BSc degree in Accounting, education or its equivalent
• Have similar experience from an established Organization
• Should have very good command of the English language both spoken and written
• Candidate should have basic computer skills in MS
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
