Job Title: Finance Support Officer
Location: Buchanan, Grand Bassa County
Reporting To: Finance Officer
Responsible For: Nil
Contract duration: 12 months
Role Requirement: Based in Buchanan. Internal travel to project locations to do payment when the need arises.

Job Purpose: As part of the Concern Code of Conduct and its associated policies responsibility the position holder will support and promote the standards outlined in
the Concern Code of Conduct and its associated policies to the team, partner organisations and participants, and be committed to providing a safe working
environment. Contribute to the establishment of preventive measures to produce the potential for abuse in Concern Programme.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
Ensure accurate recording on the Cashbook, Float register, Cash log book; Provide daily reconciliation of spend through the petty cash box; Maintain daily cash log
books; Provide monthly cash reconciliation.
Cash Management for Field Payments
 Work with the programme team to request cash via a float for the field payments
 Prepare all field payments based on the beneficiary list provided by the programme team and verified by Finance Manager/Country Financial Controller/Area
Coordinator
 Reconcile the float with all payments made in the field, return any monies not disbursed and ensure all supporting documentation is provided and properly
authorized.
 Work with the programme team to ensure all cash payments are included in the cash forecast for the week to ensure the monies are available for the payments
 Cash Management for Daily Payments
Management of the petty cashbox
 Maintaining an accurate cash log of all cash movements.
 Maintaining an accurate float log sheet in order to ensure that all floats are correctly authorised, managed and returned.
 Completing Payment Vouchers for all expenditure incurred – ensuring that all supporting documentation has been supplied, is correctly coded and properly
authorized.
 Maintaining a forecast such that transfers are requested to the Monrovia Finance Office in a timely manner
Protecting Concern Assets
 Report all suspicious paperwork to the Systems Coordinator / Finance Officer / Finance Manager.
 Highlight areas where controls are not being maintained.
 Ensure all procedures are followed ref cash/bank payments.
 Assist with the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
To work together with the Concern Staff
 Ensure the accurate filing of all paperwork related to cash and bank payments
Capacity Development
 Work with non-financial Managers to ensure coding guidelines are understood and followed.
 Any other relevant duties as assigned by the line manager or his /her designate.
 Responsible for upholding and promoting Concern’s values, including our workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, and safeguarding values.
 All staff are required to participate and contribute as necessary towards Concern’s emergency response as and when required.
 Responsible for upholding and promoting Concern Liberia ’s environmental policies and strategies
Experience & Qualification:
 Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
 At least 2 years of experience in a finance role.
 A good understanding of financial procedures
 Experience in making field payments to beneficiaries
 Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
