We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analysing financial data, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management.
Develop and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with local and company financial regulations.
Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits.
Maintain accurate records for tax filings and reporting purposes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budgetary performance and recommend adjustments.
Assist in strategic financial planning and long-term forecasting.
Accounts Management:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Perform reconciliation’s of bank accounts, ledgers, and financial statements.
Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity effectively.
Full knowledge and ability to take over the accounting process for the material costing stock card
Familiarization and Support for Odoo Material Costing
Take over commercial reporting:
FX Transactions
Diageo Royalty Report
EAZI Royalty Report
Creating vendor ledgers in Quick-books to enable vendor statements
Creating and executing accounting entries in Quick-books.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes.
Leverage technology to streamline accounting functions.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support company goals.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (mandatory)
Experience in preparing financial statements for a reputable corporation in the private
sector (preferably a manufacturing company)
Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
Ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and tactful manner
Adhere to strict confidentiality involving all financial information and all
internal/external correspondence
Good verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to plan, manage, and follow through on assignments and communicate at all levels of an organization in a timely and professional manner
Auditing experience
Knowledge of Liberian Accounting Standards as well as IFRS
Skills in economic analysis (e.g., make or buy decisions, cost/benefit analysis, etc.)
Understand the concepts of sunk cost, opportunity cost, difference between efficiency and effectiveness
Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Good knowledge of Intuit Quick-books.
Perform other tasks to be assigned by your supervisor.
