  • Fleet Operations Manager

SEGAL is in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of its vehicular fleet. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fleet management, logistics, and team leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained, drivers are well-trained, and operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve coordinating with various departments, managing budgets, and implementing policies to improve operational efficiency. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be expected to develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.   • Accountabilities
    • Oversee the daily operations of the vehicle fleet.
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Manage and train drivers to ensure high performance.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage fleet budgets and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Analyze fleet performance data and generate reports.
  • Implement strategies to optimize fleet performance and reduce costs.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage vehicle acquisition and disposal processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of fleet activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of fleet operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Implement and monitor GPS system.
  • Ensure driver safety and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate emergency response and accident management.
  • Plan and execute fleet expansion and reduction strategies.
  • Manage vehicle and drivers insurance matters in coordination with management
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on fleet performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure that licenses of drivers are valid.
  • Make field periodic visits

 

  • Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management software and systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Experience in managing and training teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
  • Experience in using GPS system.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations and make quick decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

 

  • Physical Requirements:

 

The Fleet Operations Manager may be required to lift and move heavy objects, such as tires or batteries, and may be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

 

  • Work Environment:

 

The Post Holder will work primarily in an office environment, but may also be required to spend time in a garage or other outdoor locations. The FOM may be exposed to loud noises, fumes, and other hazards associated with working around vehicles.

 

  • Salary:

 

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

  • Prerequisite to Apply:

 

  • Ability to operate with flexible work arrangements and able to respond to emergency requests to work outside normal working hours.
