Concern Worldwide is an Irish based non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization, dedicated to the reduction of suffering and
working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. Concern is currently recruiting six interns for the
below positions:

Job Title: Gender & Inclusion Intern (x1)
Location: Buchanan, Grand Bassa County
Duration: Six Months
Salary: $250.00
Responsibilities:
Support roll out of the 2021 annual activity plan across all programmes as related to gender equality and inclusion; support reporting on activities pertaining to GE;
support the development of the gender equality aspects of new programmes as part of the proposal development team; undertake a specific project as agreed by
PD and the Gender Equality Officer; support staff trainings on gender transformative approaches; support staff refresher trainings; support the action plan for
programming (needs identified during stakeholder review session); receive a specific training on an area relevant to the role.
Experience & Qualification:
An undergraduate degree attained within the last two years
Strong interest in use of innovative technology and tools for development cooperation programmes and systems
Strong interest in working in rural areas and sensitivity to the needs of the extreme poor
Dedicated to gender equality
Willingness to learn and a respectful attitude

Responsibilities:
Ensure that a monthly website update is provided (blog post, case study ensuring that gender equality is highlighted); responsible for weekly social media posts
ensuring that gender equality is a focus; support the programmes team, MEAL Coordinator, and the Grants and Information Officer in identifying opportunities and
establishing a Communications Activity Plan for 2021 Q1 and Q2 ensuring that gender equality is profiled; support the Grants and Information Officer in designing
and rolling out Communication training for staff ensuring that it is in line with the Doc has code of conduct to which Concern and all staff are signatories; Receive a
specific training on an area relevant to the role.

Support in the implementation of the Concern 2019 Environmental policy; Conduct a carbon audit on the organisations 2020 operations and support in the
development and roll out of a strategy to reduce Concern Liberia’s CO2 emissions; support in the development of material and conducting trainings for Concern
staff, partners and communities on environmental issues, conserving the natural environment, climate change, and ensuring to bring out a gender perspective;
assess environmentally sound waste streams available in Monrovia and at field office level that Concern could access; review current procurement procedures and
develop context specific green procurement policy
