A leading Oil and Gas Company in Liberia and Sierra Leone is recruiting for a highly qualified General Manager. The General Manager will report to the Group Managing Director. The General Manager will be responsible to lead the entire retail business operations in the country.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and ensure the implementation of sustainable development initiatives in line with local and regional guidelines
• Achieve budget sales, develop sales and ensure marketing budget growth
• Ensure the business is fully compliant with all Group HSEQ mandates, policies and standards
• Lead and coach team, and create a conducive work environment for all staff
• Maintain adequate controls of budgeted expenses
• Maintain optimization of financial operation in line with business standards
• Implement an annual capital budget report monitoring growth and safe operation for the business
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and taxation, resect of reporting deadlines and accuracy
• Develop and maintain excellent external and internal communications/relationship management with relevant stakeholders
• Create effective teams and enabling environment that allows people to employ their talents in achieving organizational objectives in a mutually beneficial relationship.
• Partner with internal and external customers to deliver world-class service and ensure consistent achievement of corporate financial objectives, including budgets and regulatory/ statutory requirements.
• Employ cutting-edge technology and innovativeness to deliver niche leadership in the industry.
• Must be willing to work in multiple countries.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Management, Finance, Procurement or related field
• Not less than 20 years’ post-graduate experience, with at least seven years in a senior management role
• In-depth knowledge of financial forecasting and management, auditing and financial reporting
• Ten years of previous experience in the oil and gas industry, the energy sector or transportation will be an advantage
• Commercially astute and with proven P&
• Responsibility and track record of growing revenue, cost management, and delivery against KPIs
• Experience of process redesign and operations management.
• Practical experience of sales, marketing, customer management and account management
• Visible leadership skills within challenging performance environments
• Superior communication and presentation skills
• Behavioural and cultural competencies
• Excellent PC skills, including MS Office, Internet, etc.
