Job Title: Green Logistics Intern (x1)

Location: Monrovia & Buchanan

Duration: Six Months

Salary: $250.00

Responsibilities:

Green Procurement

Support in the development of procurement documents , collecting quotes and procuring items; Support in the development of a green procurement strategy including identifying local manufacturers of programmatic materials and identifying and supporting local suppliers in ways to decarbonise their supply chain &/or reduce waste such as in packaging; Support with the development of vendor data base including environmental marker verification Waste Management

Identify environmentally sound waste management solutions

Promote waste reduction, recycling & reuse in the organisation

Energy

Support in the operational management of the Solar system

Fleet

Support in the development of a sustainable fleet management strategy including fleet data analysis; Collaboration – network within the INGO sector and support in identifying opportunities to collaborate on CO2 &/or waste reduction opportunities within the sector. Attend Environment working group meetings (internal & external); Support filing and archiving of all logistics documents and management and updating of databases

Receive specific training on area relevant to the role

Experience & Qualification:

∙ An undergraduate degree in a relevant area (logistics, business or environment) attained within the last two years

∙ Strong interest in sustainable supply chain, green logistics and use of innovative technology and tools for development

∙ Dedicated to gender equality

∙ Willingness to learn and a respectful attitude
