Location: TABMANBURG

Contract length: ONE YEAR

Job purpose

The Mary’s Meals Driver will provide safe, transport services for Mary’s Meals program and support staff movement while adhering to relevant regulations. The driver is also responsible for the safe custody and proper care of vehicles

Key activities

Responsibilities and duties

  • Operate MM vehicles as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain vehicle log-sheets in accordance with Mary’s Meals policies/regulations. Check the vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely – report needs and problems to Logistics Manager.
  • Adhere to traffic, safety, transport, and communication protocols as advised by Mary’s Meals and supervisor.
  • Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares etc.
  • Maintain records of car performance and vehicle history including service, repair, insurance, and registration.
  • Ensure the smooth delivery of food to Mary’s Meals supported schools in Liberia.
  • Ensure vehicles are always clean and fit for road use.
  • Undertake field assignments as assigned.
  • Adherence to all MM policies and procedures
  • To ensure that the vehicle is serviced on time and all fault or breakdown are reported to the Transport Officer IMMEDIATELY for repair.

Qualifications, skills and experienceEssentialDesirable
Ability to set and meet targets
High School Diploma and WAEC Certificate
At least 5 years’ experience in driving
Good computer skills
Valid driving license
Experience is driving heavy duty vehicles
Willingness to work long hours, holidays and weekends as required
