Role Summary:
The HR & Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the full employee life-cycle while ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards. This dual role balances human resources administration with workplace safety management, fostering a safe, compliant, and people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities Human Resources Duties:
- Assist with recruitment, job postings, resume screening, interviews, and on-boarding.
- Maintain HR records and systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Coordinate employee training, development, and well-being initiatives.
- Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee relations.
- Prepare HR reports (absenteeism, turnover, recruitment metrics, Labor statistics Report, LIS Semi-Annual Report, MBI Monthly Report).
- Support the processing of NASSCORP, MOL, LIS documents & preparation of Visa’s
Health & Safety Duties:
- Implement, and maintain health & safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Coordinate safety training, toolbox talks, and inductions.
- Monitor and log incidents, near misses, and support investigations.
- Ensure compliance with local occupational health and safety regulations.
- Act as a resource to the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
- Conduct monthly HSE meetings and do reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Human Resources/Management and Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR & Safety Management (dual experience preferred).
- Knowledge of labor laws and occupational safety regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/H&S systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
